NFL fans are in for a treat on Thanksgiving, and it won't just be the turkey. They will get to see two teams from the NFL's best division square off in what could end up being the best game of the holiday.
The Cowboys are playing host to the Giants on Thanksgiving in a battle of 7-3 teams. They are tied for second place in the NFC East behind the 9-1 Eagles while each holds a 1.5-game lead over the last-place Commanders.
MORE: Cowboys-Giants betting odds and prediction
Needless to say, this game will go a long way toward determining which team will have the ability to challenge the Eagles for the top spot in the division. It also could be key in potential tiebreaker scenarios between the teams as they jockey for wild-card positioning.
The Cowboys beat the Giants 23-16 on "Monday Night Football" in Week 2. That was with Cooper Rush at quarterback. Now, the team will have Dak Prescott behind center, so they should, in theory, fare well against a Giants defense that is banged up at cornerback.

Plenty of star power will be on display in this contest, as Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard go up against a resurgent Saquon Barkley.

5:57 p.m. — Donovan Wilson answers Prescott's interception by intercepting Jones. However, it's called back by an illegal contact penalty. That gives the Giants their second automatic first down in the last two plays.
5:52 p.m. — Dak Prescott looks for CeeDee Lamb over the middle of the field on third-and-long, but Darnay Holmes breaks up the pass. Julian Love catches it off the deflection, giving the Giants their second interception of the game and taking away Dallas' chances at a game-tying field goal.
5:49 p.m. — The Cowboys tried a reverse with Tony Pollard on a second-and-11. The Giants sniffed it out with ease and tackled him for a four-yard loss. The Cowboys are facing a third-and-15 as we head to the two-minute warning.
5:46 p.m. — Prescott completes a pass to CeeDee Lamb for a first down, but rookie tackle Tyler Smith is penalized for holding. That sets up the Cowboys with a third-and-14. They fail to convert that, but an illegal contact penalty on Darnay Holmes gives them a first down.
5:43 p.m. — The Cowboys call their first timeout with 3:52 left in the second quarter. They are facing a third-and-4 and time was running low on the play clock. The ball is on New York's 25-yard line.
5:40 p.m. — Prescott continues to find Michael Gallup open. He has two catches for 40 yards on this drive, and the Cowboys are at the 31-yard line, threatening to score.
5:39 p.m. — Jones has struggled with his accuracy at times in this one. He has typically been outside on his throws, and that's part of why he has gone 6 of 12 passing to start the game.
5:35 p.m. — Daniel Jones does a nice job stepping up with Micah Parsons screaming off the edge on a third-down pass rush, but he has to throw the ball at his receiver's feet as a result. The Giants go three-and-out in 59 seconds.
5:30 p.m. — Prescott very nearly completed a third-and-8 pass to CeeDee Lamb under pressure, but he put it just out in front of him. Dallas goes three-and-out and Daniel Jones' Giants get the ball back with 8:30 left in the second quarter.
5:28 p.m. — The Giants' touchdown was their first on Thanksgiving since a 1938 game against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
5:24 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN. Saquon Barkley punches it into the end zone after Daniel Jones was stuffed on a quarterback sneak. Graham Gano makes the extra point to give the Giants the lead back.

5:23 p.m. — Darius Slayton catches a deep pass from Daniel Jones. He gets down to the 1-yard line after the 44-yard gain.
5:22 p.m. — Richie James makes a nice diving catch on third down and crawls across the line to gain. That give the Giants their second first down of the second quarter.
5:19 p.m. — The Giants run the ball three consecutive times to start their ensuing drive. They gain only eight yards, but the Cowboys are whistled for a holding penalty on third down. First down, Giants.
5:15 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN. The Cowboys open the second quarter by getting into the end zone. Ezekiel Elliott takes a run up the middle six yards for a score. Brett Maher makes the extra point to give Dallas a 7-3 lead.
5:14 p.m. — Interestingly enough, both Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard received five carries in the first half for the Giants. Elliott has 51 yards and a long run of 22 yards. Pollard has 17 yards and a long of seven.
5:12 p.m. — Dallas' offense is really getting going now. CeeDee Lamb makes a 25-yard catch to get the ball to the 6-yard line. That will make it first-and-goal for the Cowboys when the second quarter opens.
5:11 p.m. — The Cowboys run a speed option play to convert their third, third down of the drive. Ezekiel Elliott takes it to the Giants' 31-yard line, putting Dallas in scoring range.
5:09 p.m. — Gallup moves the chains on third down once again for the Cowboys. Prescott finds him and the receiver got his hands up high to make a nice catch.
5:08 p.m. — The Cowboys start their drive with six yards on two runs by Tony Pollard. On third-and-4, Dak Prescott completes a pass to Michael Gallup for a first down.
5:02 p.m. — Jones tries to hit his receiver, Richie James, on third down, but he misfires to the outside. The Giants go three-and-out, so the Cowboys will get the ball back on their own 6-yard line after a holding penalty.
5:01 p.m. — The interception was upheld, so the Giants' drive begins. Saquon Barkley totals six yards on two runs to start it off.
4:58 p.m. — Dak Prescott underthrows his receiver on a mid-range pass, and Giants defensive back Rodarius Williams undercuts it and intercepts it. The Giants will get the ball back, pending a review of whether Williams got both of his feet in bounds.
4:54 p.m. — The Cowboys get the ball back off the kickoff. On the first play, Ezekiel Elliott does what he couldn't do on fourth-and-2. He bursts through the line for a gain of about 15 yards.
4:50 p.m. — FIELD GOAL. After the touchdown was called back, the Giants only went backward. On fourth-and-32, Graham Gano attempts a 57-yard field goal. It goes through, giving the Giants a 3-0 lead.
4:47 p.m. — Daniel Jones found wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins for a touchdown. However, there was an ineligible man downfield on the Giants. So, no score for New York.
4:45 p.m. — Jones exhibits great patience on his first play after the turnover on downs. He waits to find an open receiver despite pressure from Jayron Kearse. He eventually finds tight end Chris Myarick for a big gain.
4:44 p.m. — Like the Giants, the Cowboys get a first down and then stall out after three plays. The difference? Dallas lines up to go for it. Ezekiel Elliott is stuffed at the line of scrimmage, and the Giants get the ball on Dallas' 40-yard line.
4:43 p.m. — The Cowboys get a first down on their first play from scrimmage as well. It comes off an end around to CeeDee Lamb. Lamb makes a catch on his next play and was targeted on the ensuing play, so it could be a big afternoon for him.
4:40 p.m. — The Giants nearly downed the punt at the 1-yard line, but it bounced off Nick McCloud's hands and into the end zone. The Cowboys will start at their own 20-yard line.
4:39 p.m. — Saquon Barkley takes a dump-off five yards on third-and-8, and that sets up a fourth-and-3. The Giants will punt the ball, so the Cowboys will have their first drive of the day.
4:37 p.m. — The Giants get off to a good start. Jones completes a short dump-off to tight end Lawrence Cager. He takes it 25 yards for a first down.
4:35 p.m. — We are off in Dallas. The Giants get the ball first, and Daniel Jones' first drive will begin after a touchback on Brett Maher's kickoff.
4:32 p.m. — The performance of the national anthem has concluded. The game will begin in short order.
4:25 p.m. — The winner of this Giants-Cowboys game will have sole possession of second-place in the NFC East. Additionally, if the Cowboys win, they will own the head-to-head season tiebreaker over New York. If the Giants win, it will be tied in the season series 1-1 against Dallas.
4:15 p.m. — Giants cornerback Darnay Holmes will play a big role in today's game with a few Giants corners out. He wished fans a happy Thanksgiving before the contest begins:
4:10 p.m. — The Giants are going to be down a lot of key players. That includes two of their top cornerbacks, Adoree' Jackson and Fabian Moreau, and several offensive linemen. That will make their lives difficult against the Cowboys.
